How it works
The Austrian Reporting Platform also includes a range of applications in the environmental sector. The module developed by the Environment Agency Austria focuses on the transparent presentation of climate, environmental, and resource data through user-friendly dashboards.
The Austrian Reporting Platform is based on a modular dashboard system that presents key environmental and climate data in a clear, user-friendly format. The dashboards are made accessible via the website of the Environment Agency Austria and can be easily embedded into other platforms and content management systems using iFrame technology.
Examples include the Climate Dashboard, which visualizes current developments in greenhouse gas emissions, climate targets, and temperature trends; the Waste Dashboard, which provides comprehensive information on the generation, treatment, and transboundary movement of waste; and the Groundwater Dashboard, which displays national groundwater monitoring data.
The data is sourced from ongoing monitoring programs, official surveys, and scientific studies. Automated processing ensures the data are highly current and of high quality. Thanks to the platform’s open structure, additional topics such as air quality and emissions can also be integrated.

The reporting platform makes a central contribution to the transparency and traceability of environmental and climate data in Austria.
