How it works

DigiPol brings together all elements of the political decision-making process on a single digital platform: motions are created, edited, and digitally signed using ID Austria. Agendas, speaker lists, votes, and resolutions are also managed digitally. Meetings are organized via the platform, their outcomes documented in real time, and resolutions officially published online.

DigiPol ensures not only efficiency but also sustainability: around 150,000 sheets of paper are saved each year – a direct contribution to climate protection. Full digitalization increases traceability, reduces sources of error, and minimizes administrative workload. At the same time, DigiPol supports staff with user-friendly tools and enables much more structured meeting management.

The innovation lies not just in the technology, but in the holistic approach: DigiPol was specifically developed to meet the needs of political institutions, combining modern IT infrastructure with the legal requirements of parliamentary operations. Actively used in Vienna, the system has also garnered attention beyond the city – winning the eAward 2024.

The Big Picture

DigiPol is more than just an administrative tool – it's an instrument for strengthening democracy. By making political decisions transparent and publishing them in a timely manner, citizens are directly informed, and trust in political institutions is reinforced. Clear process chains, digital traceability, and automated workflows create a new quality of collaboration between politics and administration.

For politicians, DigiPol means less paperwork and more time for substantive work. For administrators, it brings structured processes, better planning capabilities, and fewer errors. For citizens, it provides easy access to political information and decisions – in real time, online, anywhere.

DigiPol is a prime example of what digital transformation can look like: practical, effective, and democracy-enhancing.
