Once download is completed, users can store a wide variety of documents in the eAusweis app, ranging from staples like IDs and driver’s licenses to other important documents such as proof of residency. After being loaded into the app, the documents are secured cryptographically, allowing for maximum data protection and security. Moreover, they can be presented via Bluetooth whenever required, no internet connection necessary. All documents loaded into eAusweis can be checked by Austrian authorities in accordance with the law, while digital IDs and certificates can also be presented to third parties.
