The Austrian Reporting Platform is the most widely used tool for data collection, transformation, and visualization of public sector data in Austria. It enables nearly all ministries and federal states to efficiently monitor and manage their project portfolios. The platform provides specific tools for data collection and visualization, along with shared interfaces that support efficient and secure application development. With features such as authentication, automation, various standardized interfaces, a BI library based on the International Business Communication Standards, search algorithms, audit logging, chatbots, workflow engines, notification centers, as well as machine learning and predictive analytics, the platform offers a solid foundation for a wide range of use cases.

The Austrian Reporting Platform combines various applications with specific focuses. In the area of "Monitoring & Reporting of departmental and regional portfolios," the focus is on transparent management and efficient monitoring of public project portfolios.
The application offers web-based, workflow-oriented entry of project data via forms. It enables seamless capture and management of projects across various sectors—for example, in Burgenland, where around 390 projects are monitored. The platform features a user-friendly interface that allows the creation of various reports, such as for strategic meetings or specific stakeholders. Reporting is supported through a central database containing all relevant information on ongoing and completed projects. The application also includes specific tools like the project portfolio management system of the Federal Ministry for Innovation, Mobility and Infrastructure, and the project monitoring tool of the Federal Ministry of Defence, which manage strategically important projects. The focus is on creating transparent processes that make project management more efficient and transparent.
