The intelligent, energy self-sufficient bus stop of the future

Public transport is the backbone of sustainable mobility in cities, towns, and regions. However, traditional bus stops are often purely functional structures – uninviting, outdated, and offering no added value for their users. station changes that fundamentally: with a multifunctional, energy self-sufficient bus shelter that combines design, sustainability, and innovative features, it becomes a place that is far more than just a stop. Whether for municipalities, passengers, or bus drivers – the modular concept offers tangible benefits for everyone and can be individually adapted to local needs.

How it works

station is produced in Melk, Lower Austria, and is ISO 14001 environmental management certified. Its modular design allows each shelter to be flexibly equipped with additional features – from USB charging stations and Wi-Fi to barrier-free access and a special mode for visually impaired passengers on the information screen. Intelligent lighting ensures that waiting passengers are highly visible even at dusk and in the dark, improving safety for both passengers and bus drivers.

What makes station special: thanks to photovoltaic technology, it is completely energy self-sufficient. This not only reduces operating costs but also lowers CO₂ emissions. A green roof improves the microclimate, balances temperature fluctuations, and creates a habitat for insects. In addition, the modern design, with its clean lines and regional material selection, enhances the attractiveness of the surrounding area – a particularly noticeable benefit at central bus hubs.

The Big Picture

With station, bus stops become places where functionality, sustainability, and quality of stay go hand in hand. For municipalities, this means not only beautifying the townscape but also investing in climate-friendly, future-ready infrastructure. Passengers benefit from comfort, safety, and added services, while bus drivers can ensure safe operations through improved visibility. The modular construction allows for tailor-made implementation for a wide variety of locations – from rural towns to urban mobility hubs.

This transforms everyday waiting time into a positive, safe, and comfortable mobility experience – and turns a bus stop into a visible statement for sustainable transport solutions.
